Ronald T. “Britt” Brittingham, 89, of Dagsboro, died at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital on Sunday, March 19. He was a business manager for Agriculture Retail Stores.
He was a World War II Army medic. He was in the Normandy invasion, Battle of the Ardennes, the Northern France Campaign, and the Rhineland. He had been a business manager for Eastern States Agway and Southern States. He also served 10 years with the Sussex County government, in charge of security. He was past commander of VFW Post #7422 Millsboro and a member of Post #19 American Legion of Laurel.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Lois Wilder Brittingham, one son, Craig Brittingham; one sister, Ruth Shields; one grandson, Stephen Brittingham; and one great-grandaughter, Alyssa Brittingham. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Adolphus and Hartland Brittingham, and one sister, Emily Welch.
Funeral services were scheduled for Thursday, March 23, at Watson Funeral Home, 211 Washington Street, Millsboro, with interment at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro, where Military Honors will be conferred.
