John H. Byrum, 84, of Roxana, died at Atlantic General Hospital on Thursday, March 30, 2006. He had been a self-employed painter for many years and was a member of the Salem United Methodist Church in Selbyville. He was a World War II veteran of the Army.
He is survived by his wife, Lena B. Byrum; two daughters, Diane Brasure and Deborah Hains; one brother, Robert Bryum; two sisters, Gertrude Ward and Myrtle Norman; three grandchildren, Chris Brasure, Tami Brasure Collins and John Carpenter; and five great-grandchildren, Brittany Carpenter, Dylon Carpenter, Allisa Carpenter, Hannah Brasure and Caleb Collins. He was preceded in death by a brother, William Byrum, and a sister, Helen Jerigan.
Funeral services were scheduled for Sunday, April 2, at Hastings Funeral Home in Selbyville with interment in Roxana Cemetery.
