Carmela Mazzalonga, 89, of Millsboro died at home on Friday March 31, 2006. She was a homemaker.
She was a member of Mary Mother of Peace Catholic Church in Oak Orchard; Order of the Sons of Italy in America; and the Italian Heritage Association. She loved corresponding, singing and reading.
She is survived by three daughters, Lucille Wallo, Mary Jane Donato and Irene Gianesses; 10 grandchildren, John, Stephen, Lori and Thomas Wallo; Paula Perez; Teressa Smith, Ralph Martino, Louis Martino, Janette Ingrassia and Alexandra Gianesses; 12 great-grandchildren, Stephanie and John Wallo, Elyse Rivera, Christoper Perez, Samantha and Rebecca Smith, Ashley and Jason Martino, Jack Swihart, Salvatore and Michael Ingrassia, and Blake Wallo; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Louis Mazzalonga, in 1978; and five brothers and two sisters.
A Mass of Christian Burial was scheduled for Tuesday April 4, at 11 a.m. in Mary Mother of Peace Catholic Church, Oak Orchard with interment in Henlopen Memorial Park near Milton.
