Alton E. Spicer, 73, of Princess Anne, Md., died on Thursday, June 8, 2006, at the home of his son, Greg. He was a meat cutter working for Acme Markets and Meatland for many years; he retired from Meatland in 2000.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War era.
He is survived by two sons, Greg A. Spcier and his wife Wendy, and Johnny Wade Spicer and his wife Beth; one step-daughter, Susan Ward; one brother, Richard Spicer; three sisters, Ann Hudson, Helen Mumford; and Pat Gordon; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services were scheduled for Friday, June 16, at noon at the Watson Funeral Home, 211 Washington Street, Millsboro, where friends may call at 11 a.m. Interment will be at Union Cemetery, Georgetown.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations be sent to Delaware Hospice, Southern Division, 20167 Office Circle, Georgetown.
