Anga Lee “Angie” Brittingham, 64, of Dagsboro, formerly of Gaston, S.C., died Friday, Aug. 4, 2006, at Beebe Medical Center in Lewes. She was a retail clerk serving in retail sales and grocery stores.
She loved to play cards, to read and to watch Westerns. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Swanska, S.C.
She is survived by her daughters, Donna Waugh and Carolyn Nelson, and her husband Dennis Brittingham Jr.; Joanne Dorey and her husband, the Rev. Charles C. Brittingham III; four brothers, John Stanley Hoover, Lewis Edward Hoover, Belton Hoover and Jack Hoover; one sister, Mary Ann Beard; eight grandchildren: Hoyt, Renee, John, Erin, Samantha, Hunter, Dennis and Ryan; two great-grandchildren, Jonathan and Brielle. She is also survived by her devoted dogs, Lacey and Mikey. She was preceded in death by her longtime companion, Gene B. Austin, in 2003.
Funeral services were scheduled for Aug. 8, 2006, at Watson Funeral Home, 211 Washington Street, Millsboro with interment at Henlopen Memorial Park, Lewes.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the American Cancer Society or to the American Heart Association.
