Elizabeth A. Hopkins, 74, of Millsboro, Del., died Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2006, at home.
Hopkins retired from Campbell Soup. She was a member of the Jehovah’s Witness Church in Dagsboro, Del. She enjoyed cooking, flowers, shopping and traveling. She was a loving mother, grandmother sister and friend. “She was one of God’s gifts to this world.”
She is survived by her children, Sam Dennis and wife Carol; Kevin Dennis and wife Alvanna; Deborah Cottman and husband Clifford; Casandra Dixon; Michael Dennis and wife Alice; Teresa Hopkins; Dana Hopkins and wife Nina; Tony Hopkins; brothers and sisters Dawson Johnson, Wesley Johnson, Freddie Johnson, Howard Dennis, Robert Johnson, Alvaida Dennis, Lola Dennis, Esther Hunt, Catricia Johnson and Stephanie Johnson; 51 grandchildren, 82 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alton Hopkins, in 1996, and a son, Eltan Dennis.
Funeral services were scheduled for Monday, Sept. 25, 2006 at Dickerson Chapel AME Church, Millsboro, Del.
