Alisa Yvette Jordan 36, of Frankford, Del., was welcomed to heaven on Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2006, surrounded by her loving family and friends.
Jordan was born Aug. 29, 1970, in Salisbury, Md., the daughter of Clemon and Willa Jordan. She was a 1988 graduate of Indian River High School. Following graduation, she attended Delaware State University and Delaware Technical Community College. She began her career with the developmental and disabled at the Salvation Army. She then became an employee of Stockley Center for 10 years, until her illness forced her to retire. She dedicated her life to helping and supporting others.
Jordan was a member of St. Johns Second Baptist Church in Mt. Joy, near Millsboro, where she also served as a nurse’s aide. She enjoyed traveling, watching old sitcoms and movies, spending time with family and friends, going to worship service, and shopping for trendy handbags. She loved dogs – especially her beloved companion, Jackie Russell Jordan.
She is survived by her dear parents, Clemon and Willa Jordan, her brother Andre Jordan and wife Dione and family; her extended Norwood family, particularly her sister Montoya Palmer, her cousins Gina Reed, Tracey Jarmon Woods, Nichole Smith and Tynill Jarmon Jones; several aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, and a host of friends and relatives.
Funeral services were scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 29, 2006, at St. Johns Second Baptist Church in Mt. Joy near Millsboro. Interment was to immediately follow the ceremony at St. Johns Second Baptist Church Cemetery, Mt. Joy.
