Hazel Virginia Furrow, 81, of Millsboro, died Friday, Nov. 10.
Hazel was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Millsboro, De. She retired from Stockley Center, Georgetown as a dining corps- purchasing agent. She also had worked for Monroe’s, in Millsboro. She had just finished 10 years of service at WAWA in Millsboro, where she was considered the Coffee Queen, serving 10,000 cups of coffee per week. She was also a member of VFW Ladies Auxiliary. No matter where she went, she would find somebody she knew. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great grand children.
She is survived by her sister, Marie Willey; son, Martin A Furrow Sr. and his wife Iris; two grandchildren, Martin Jr. and Alison Gardenhour; four great-grandchildren, Madalyn Emma Gradenhour, Abraham Furrow, Anna Furrow, Jacob Gardenhour. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Martin E. Furrow in 2004 after 59 years 10 months of marriage and four brothers, George, Norman, Harley and Ralph Collins; and three sisters, Emma Pace, Jerdie Shockley, Verdie Mae Hickman
Funeral services were scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2006 at 2 p.m. at Watson Funeral Home, 211 Washington St. Millsboro with interment at Millsboro, Cemetery, Millsboro.
