Edna Dorothy “Dot” Weber, 84, died Saturday, Nov. 11, 2006, at Kent General Hospital in Dover.
She was born in Philadelphia, Pa., to Pauline and Edward Shadel, and married Clyde Weber on Sept. 28, 1940. After her mother and her husband died in a car accident, she moved with her three children and her father to Millville in 1960.
She worked as a dental hygienist, owned a sub shop in Ocean View, and then worked for her daughter and son-in-law in their sub and pizza shop, Surf’s Up in Bethany Beach. Above all, she loved her family. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. She enjoyed visits with her great-grandchildren, baking and gardening. She was a Believer and a member of Roxana Wesleyan Church.
She is survived by her daughter, June Bailey and her husband Mickey, her son Bobby Weber and his wife Karen; and her son Wayne and his wife Wanda; 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Ed Shadel and his wife Honey, a niece, Vivian Sexton and a nephew Greg Shadel.
Funeral services were scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 15, at Arlington Cemetery in Drexel Hill, Pa.
