Wayne Edwin Stidham, 78, of Ocean View, formerly of Baltimore and Dundalk, Md., died Saturday Dec. 9, 2006, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Portsmouth, Ohio, son of the late, Hubert and Mollie (Keibler) Stidham. He was a brakeman for the Patapsco Back River Railroad of Baltimore, with 25 years of service. Stidham served with the United States Navy in World War II and Korea.
He was a lifetime member of the VFW, with Post #6694 of Dundalk and Post #8296 of Ocean City, Md.
He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Wanda F. Stidham; a son, Kelly Stidham; two daughters, Marsha and Laura Stidham; two grandchildren, Mark Nagle and Carly Wines; six great grandchildren.
A memorial service was scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 16, at 11 a.m. at the Bethany Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, West Avenue in Ocean View. Interment will follow at the Henlopen Memorial Park in Milton at 1:15 p.m.
