John Wayne Riddle, 68, of Frankford, passed away peacefully in his home on Thursday, Dec. 14, 2006, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Seaford, the son of the late David and Virginia (Huskins) Riddle. Riddle worked in the maintenance department of Perdue for 40 years and served in the National Guard. He was a hard-working and devoted father and husband who loved taking care of his family. He always looked forward to attending the Delaware State Fair in Harrington and the Pony Penning in Chincoteague, Va., each year.
He is survived by three sons, Mark, Kenny and Billy Riddle; eight sisters, Hazel Chason, Yvonne Parker, Betty Norman, Dorothy Hudson, Vivian LeCates, Linda Pase, Brenda Townsend and Cindy Riddle; four brothers, Bobby Riddle, Glen Riddle, Allan Riddle and Dallas Riddle of Laurel, Del. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nesia Faye Riddle, in April of this year.
Funeral services were scheduled for Monday, Dec. 18, 2006, at the Frankford Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, Thatcher Street, in Frankford. Interment will be held in Dagsboro Redmens Memorial Cemetery in Dagsboro.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in his name to Compassionate Care Hospice, 201A West Dupont Hwy., Millsboro, DE 19966.
