Bruce E. Brosnahan, 48, of Dagsboro, passed away suddenly, surrounded by his loving family on Monday, Dec. 11, 2006, at the Beebe Medical Center in Lewes.
He was born in Wilmington on May 30, 1958, son of the late Cornelius Brosnahan and Elizabeth (Bamberger) Brosnahan Hartman.
Brosnahan, with his family, built a successful elevator company, and was the president of Atlantic Elevators of Delaware. He loved landscaping and gardening and surrounded his home with the beautiful plants he nurtured. He was a devoted family man who worked tirelessly to make all their lives richer.
He is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Janice (Lynch) Brosnahan; his mother, Elizabeth (Bamberger) Brosnahan; a daughter, Megan; a son, Eric; two sisters, Carol Joseph and Terry Smith; two brothers, Kevin Brosnahan and David Brosnahan; their spouses and children; and his dog and sidekick, Gus. He was preceded in death by his father, Cornelius Brosnahan.
Funeral services were scheduled for Friday, Dec. 15, at noon at the Bethany Chapel of Melson Funeral Services on West Avenue in Ocean View, where friends may call after 11 a.m. Interment will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Dagsboro.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the charity of the giver’s choice.
