Angelena C. “Angie” Conaway, 76, of Georgetown, passed away at home on Friday, Feb. 2, 2007.
Conaway was co-owner of Alvin & Angie’s Florist. She loved gardening, cooking, and taking care of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Dagsboro Church of God, where she held many positions, including church treasurer and Sunday-school teacher.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Alvin Conaway; son, Kenny Conaway of Georgetown; daughter, Diane Rogers of Georgetown; brothers, Roland and James Whaley, both of Laurel; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her parents, Hayward T. and Meredith Dukes Whaley.
Funeral services were scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2007, at the Dagsboro Church of God with interment at Carey’s Cemetery in Millsboro.
