George Edward Hudson, 85, of Lewes, passed away on Friday, Feb. 2, 2007, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
Hudson was a World War II veteran serving in the United States Navy. He was a self-employed masonry contractor and founder/owner of Big Oaks Campground in Rehoboth Beach.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Freda (Wilson) Hudson; daughter, Barbara A. Plummer; grandsons, Gregory Edward and Jeffrey Mark Plummer; great-grandchildren, Gregory Edward Jr., Zackary Thomas Winfield, Jeffrey Mark Jr., and Whitney Marie Plummer.
He was predeceased by his parents, Edward Thornton and Edith (Simpler) Hudson.
Funeral services were scheduled for Monday, Feb. 5, at the chapel of Melson Funeral Services in Long Neck; interment was at Henlopen Park in Milton.
