Harry W. Wilkerson, 81, of Pittsville, Md., passed away at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, Md.
Wilkerson and his wife owned and operated Wilkerson’s Service Station and grocery store for nearly 30 years on Racetrack Road near Berlin. After selling his business, he became a Realtor. He served in World War II in the U.S. Army in Europe. He was a member of Taylorville United Methodist Church and a life member and past president of the Showell Volunteer Fire Department, Boggs Disharoon American Legion Post 123, Mason Dixon VFW Post 7234 and a life member of Selbyville Elks Lodge 2173. He was also a member of Salisbury Moose Lodge 654, Golden Seniors of the Moose and Legion 111 of the Moose, as well as a member of AMSA, Eastern Shore Bluegrass Inc., and Peninsula Bluegrass Inc.
His loving wife of 60 years, Charlotte E. Wilkerson; brother, George Wilkerson of Berlin, Md.; sisters, Jeanette McCabe of Frankford and Evelyn Evans of Whaleyville, Md., survive him.
His parents, John L. and Ethel M. Figgs Wilkerson, predeceased him.
Funeral services are Friday, Feb. 9, 2007, at 1 p.m. at Hastings Funeral Home in Selbyville. Interment is to be held at St. George’s Cemetery.
