Omeda T. Collins, 86, of Clarksville, passed away at Beebe Medical Hospital in Lewes on Friday, Feb. 9, 2007.
Omeda was a member of Roxana Wesleyan Church and the Eastern Star Chapter 12 of Frankford. She and her husband were founders of the Collins Park Association, where she had served as an officer and treasurer. She was a poultry grower and farmer for many years and enjoyed being part of her church.
She is survived by her son, Gene Collins of Dagsboro; daughter, Joan Townsend of Ocean View; grandchildren Stacey Collins of Frederick, Md., Kelley Vickers of Millville, Mack Townsend of Laurel, Marvin Townsend of Ocean View; great-grandchildren Kara, Austin, Jamie Townsend and River Vickers.
She was predeceased by her parents, Gove Elwood and Cleora Pansville Long Taylor; grandparents that raised her, Parker and Amanda Long; husband, Harold H. Collins; and son E. Wayne Collins.
Funeral services were scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 15, 2007, at Watson Funeral Home, with interment at St. Georges Cemetery in Clarksville.
