Jeanne W. Long, 89, of Selbyville, died on Friday, Feb. 23, 2007, at Berlin Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was a first-grade elementary-school teacher for the Indian River School District for 36 years. She was a member of the Salem United Methodist Church, Selbyville, and a member of the Sussex Pines Country Club in Georgetown. She was an avid golfer, oil painter, bridge player and reader.
Long was preceded in death by her parents, Robert B. and Esther Collins Williams; her husband, Elisha E. “Cutter” Long; and a brother, Robert B. Williams. She is survived by her daughters, Judith L. Cullen and husband Rick of Delmar, Md., Linda J. Roberts and husband Paul of Panama City, Panama; her brother, Rodney C. Williams of West Dover, Vt.; four grandchildren, David Frey, Mathew Frey, Jonathan Frey and Lee Cullen; seven great-grandchildren.
Services were scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2007, with interment at Redmen’s Cemetery, Selbyville.
