Donald Fadeley, 91, a retired funeral director and former resident of Frederick, Md., passed away peacefully on Thursday, Feb. 22, 2007, at his home in Millsboro.
He was a partner for 40 years of Smith, Fadeley, Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, P.A. Fadeley served honorably with the Armed Forces during World War II. He was a member of Columbia Lodge 58, A.F. and A.M., Frederick, the Cape Henlopen Elks Lodge 2540, and the Oak Orchard American Legion.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry M. and Ida Mae Mahan Fadeley; his former wife, Edna Heim Fadeley; a brother, Vernon Fadeley. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Webb-Fadeley (nee Irelan); his daughters, Susan Frets and husband Ricci of Morgantown, N.C., Kathy Kermerait and husband Mark Kermerait of Bostic, N.C.; three grandchildren, Brian Flowers, Donald Flowers and Sasha Kermerait; step-daughter, Lisa Trusty of Lewes; four step-grandchildren, Kara, Jenna, Lex and Mark Trusty; his brother, William Fadeley of Palm Bay, Fla., a sister, Eleanor Fears, also of Pay Bay and Havre De Grace; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2007, with interment at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick, Md.
