Starling Peacock Sr., 66, of Millsboro, passed away on Thursday, May 24, 2007, at Beebe Medical Center in Lewes. He was a retired truck driver, retiring from William B. Street Inc. after more than 20 years of service, and was a member and trustee of New Holy Trinity Church of God in Christ. He was a “people person” who loved to hunt, work outdoors, watch wrestling on TV and help anyone in need.
Peacock was preceded in death by his parents, Collie and Ruby Louise (King) Peacock; and two brothers, James Henry and Frank Peacock. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Arinthia S. Peacock; son Starling Peacock Jr. and wife Jaime of Milford; eight daughters, Ruthynia A. Walker and husband Kenneth, Louise V. Peacock, Tracy Taylor and husband Dexter, Charlene Lewis and husband Rodney, all of Laurel, Starlene Mercer and husband Joseph of Dover, Kayana Peacock of Harrington, Ashley Peacock of Georgetown and Samira Peacock of Millsboro; 10 sisters-in-law; a host of family and friends, nieces and nephews; 19 grandchildren; two god-children, Lesley Collins and Craig Stanly; and his faithful canine companion Dipstick.
Services were scheduled for Thursday, May 31, 2007, with interment in St. John Second Baptist Church Cemetery.
