Richard C. Johnson, 60, of near Georgetown, passed away on Saturday, May 26, 2007, in Milford. He was an auto mechanic for many years, and he also formed and maintained a lawn care business. He loved to tinker on mechanical things and always helped people with repairs. Johnson was a mechanic and crew member for the Springfield Racing Team and attended the St. Johns United Methodist Church at Springfield Crossroads. He was a quiet, friendly man who loved horses and the outdoors.
Johnson was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Johnson Jr. and Doris Hitchens Johnson. He is survived by his daughter, Rebecca; four brothers, Robert C. Johnson, Joseph L. Johnson, Clarence Johnson III and Theodore N. Johnson; two sisters, Irene A. Rust and Barbara A. Allen; and one grandchild.
Services are scheduled for noon on Friday, June 1, 2007, at the St. Johns United Methodist Church, SR 30, Springfield Crossroads, near Georgetown, where friends may call after 10 a.m. Interment will be in the St. Johns Church Cemetery.
