\Lois M. Robertson, 67, of Millsboro, formerly of Brookhaven, Pa., passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, June 30, 2007. She was a graduate of St. Agnes School of Nursing in Philadelphia and worked as a registered nurse for Sacred Heart Hospital in Chester, Pa., for more than 30 years. She briefly worked for Compassionate Care Hospice before retiring to Delaware. An avid reader who enjoyed stained glass and nature, she will be remembered fondly for her caring nature and as an advocate for the underdog and animal rights. Having a wry sense of humor, she could find humor in almost any situation and it was this ability that most endeared her to others.
Robertson was preceded in death by her parents, Earl S. and Marie T. (Dowrick) Grant. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, George A. Robertson; a son, Keith Robertson of New Bern, N.C.; two daughters, Suzanne Bobey of West Chester, Pa., and Amy DiBonaventura of Thorndale, Pa.; a brother, Earl Grant of Media, Pa., and a sister, Jeanne Ginsburg of Lima, Pa.
A memorial mass was scheduled for Thursday, July 5, 2007. Interment was private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Robertson’s name to Compassionate Care Hospice, 31038 Country Garden Blvd., Suite D2, Dagsboro DE 19939; or to a local Humane Society.
