Linda L. Bunting, 56
Linda L. Bunting, 56, of Selbyville, passed away Friday, July 20, 2007, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, Md.
Bunting was preceded in death by her father, Atwood D. Bradford. She is survived by her mother, Helen Shockley Bradford; her husband of 38 years, Alfred C. Bunting III; daughter, Tammy L. Bullis; sons, Scott A. Bunting and Alfred C. Bunting IV; brother, Woody D. Bradford; sisters, Peggy A. Dickerson, Brenda M. Bradford, Barbara H. Murphy, Karen J. Widgeon and Sandra D. McCabe; grandchildren, Scott A. Bunting Jr., Tiffany L. Bunting, Samantha N. Bunting, Ashley N. Bullis, Virgil V. Bullis III, Cody A. Bunting and Tyler R. Bunting; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were scheduled for Wednesday, July 25, 2007, with interment in Roxana Cemetery.
John J. McGee Sr., 89
John J. McGee Sr., 89, of Selbyville, formerly of Baltimore, Md., passed away Wednesday, July 18, 2007, at home. He was a Baltimore City police officer, retiring as a sergeant after 25 years of service. He also served as a military policeman in the United States Marine Corps during World War II. McGee was a member of St. Luke Catholic Church in Ocean City, Md., a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus, a member of the Ocean City Elks Lodge No. 2645 and of the Morrell Park American Legion Post in Baltimore.
McGee was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Ellen Fitzpatrick McGee; and a grandson, C. Scott Sellman. He is survived by his wife, Mary J. McGee; son, John J. McGee Jr. and his wife, Kathy, of Selbyville; daughter, Marcia Sellman and her husband, Jerry, of Selbyville; sister, Marie Leaf of Baltimore, Md.; three grandchildren, Mark Sellman, Jay McGee and Karen McGee; and six great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian burial was scheduled for Tuesday, July 24, 2007, with interment in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Millsboro. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Delaware Hospice, 20167 Office Circle, Georgetown DE 19947.
Chester Joseph Walls, 88
Chester Joseph Wall, 88, of Georgetown, passed away Friday, July 20, 2007, at Beebe Medical Center in Lewes. He was a retired carpenter, having worked most of his career with Briggs Construction. He was an avid “jack of all trades,” loving to tinker with and repair things. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Laurel. A quiet man, Walls loved people and animals.
Walls is survived by his wife of 67 years, Margaret Effie Downs Walls; 16 nieces and nephews; and many, many friends and neighbors.
Services were scheduled for Wednesday, July 25, 2007, with interment in St. John’s Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Christ United Methodist Church, Laurel DE 19956.
