Clarence Stanton ‘Stan’ Millner
Clarence Stanton “Stan” Millner of Dagsboro, Del., passed away on Tuesday, April 1, 2008. He was an independent agent for State Farm Insurance in Baltimore, Md., for 38 years, retiring to the beach in 1997. He enjoyed his retirement and was always looking forward to the next vacation to yet another beach in the United States or Caribbean.
An avid stamp collector, Millner recently realized the completion of his United States collection and transferred his devotion to his all-time love, cars. He was a member of Mariner’s Bethel United Methodist Church, the Lord Baltimore Lions Club and the Ocean View VFW Post #7234.
Millner is survived by his beloved wife of 19 years, Beth C. (Scrivnor) Millner; five children, James S. Millner and his wife Michele, John S. Millner, Mary Ann Novia and her husband Mike, all of Baltimore, Md., Mark Millner of Savannah, Ga., the Rev. Dennis Millner and his wife Kathy of Roxana, Del.; three step-children, Bryan Copinger, Karen Bertolino and Kevin S. Copinger and his wife Debbie; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Virginia Boyle of Hudson, Fla.; brother, Glen Millner and his wife Betty of Milford, Del.; and sister, Dolly Kovens and her husband Rick of Surprise, Ariz., and Towson, Md.
Services will be held Friday, April 4, 2008, at Mariner’s Bethel United Methodist Church, Ocean View, Del., with the viewing beginning at 3 p.m., followed by the service, with a luncheon afterward in the church social hall. Interment will be Monday, April 7, 2008, at 11 a.m. in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Millsboro, Del.
