Ronald G. Crockett, 64, of Millsboro, Del., formerly of the New Castle, Del. area, passed away at his home on Sunday, April 27, 2008. He served with the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He worked with John J. Crockett & Sons Subcontracting Company for many years and most recently he worked for the State of Delaware as a trade mechanic at the Stockley Center in Georgetown. He was a member of American Legion Post #28 of Oak Orchard. He enjoyed fishing, boating and being with his friends.
Crockett was preceded in death by his parents, John and Marie (McHenry) Crockett. He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Geraldine “Geri” Crockett; two sons, Scott Crockett and his wife, Lisa, of Mulbury, Mass., and Ronald Crockett of New York; a daughter, Joyce Ely and her husband, Bryan, of Glen Mills, Pa.; a brother, John J. Crockett and his wife, Helen, of Key West, Fla.; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Paul and Julia Penna of Wilmington, Del.; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was scheduled for Thursday, May 1, 2008, with interment in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Millsboro.
