Violet V. Pusateri, 88, of Ocean View, Del., formerly of Baltimore, Md., passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, June 19, 2008, at her home. She had worked in the accounting department for Oakloom Clothes in Baltimore. She was a Ladies Auxiliary member of the VFW Post 7234 at Quillen’s Point in Ocean View. She seemed to have a “green thumb” and loved flowers and her garden.
Pusateri was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Jane (Cairns) Clawson; her loving husband, Anthony Joseph Pusateri; and a son, Joseph Pusateri. She is survived by her son, Anthony J. Pusateri and his wife, Althea, of Baltimore; her daughter, Mary J. Putschky of Ocean View; a son-in-law, Robert Putschky of Baltimore; four siblings, Gertrude Zimmerman, Beatrice Wilson, Hellen McCutcheon and Edwin Clawson; five grandchildren, Robert Meyer, Lorie White, Jennifer Pusateri, Mark Pusateri and Sean Pusateri; six great-grandchildren, Shawn White, Jason White, Jonathan White, Lauren Meyer, Christopher Meyer and Katelyn Meyer.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 12, 2008, at 5 p.m. at Pusateri’s home, 38335 Lu Lee Court, Ocean View, Del. Interment will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
