Virgie Grubb, 84, of Long Neck, Millsboro, Del., passed away Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2008, in the Beebe Medical Center, Lewes, Del. She worked for many years as a printer and typesetter for various magazines and newspapers. She attended the Oak Orchard Community Church. A loving, sweet wife, she loved to garden outside and was a great cook.
Grubb was preceded in death by her parents, George and Maggie Collins; a son, Doug Collins; a brother, Freddie Collins; and three sisters, Mae Wooten, Bessie Laxton and Cuba Mann. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Weldon Grubb; a daughter, Brenda K. Millman, of Millsboro, Del.; two nieces, Dena Pulgini and Wilma Morris; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was scheduled for Monday, Oct. 20, 2008, with interment in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Patriot’s Way, Millsboro, Del.
