Judy K. Rogers, 65, of Roxana, Del., passed away peacefully Saturday, Oct. 25, 2008, in the Delaware Hospice Center, Milford, Del. She owned and operated her own hairdresser shop for more than 51 years in the Roxana area. She was also employed at Hocker’s Super Center for four and a half years before retiring for health reasons. She had a heart of gold and never met a person she didn’t love. She was a member of the Roxana Wesleyan Church and coordinated overnight bus trips for more than 25 years to many different attractions throughout the United States.
Rogers was preceded in death by her grandmother, Mollie Rogers; grandfather, Levin Baker; and father, William Ketterman. She is survived by her longtime friend and caregiver, Virginia Twilley and Virginia’s two sons, Lee Vincent and Kevin Twilley; three cousins, Linda Appling, Halton L. Hudson and Pat Riebel; also, Georgeanna Ketterman, Frank Ketterman and Jackie Goslee.
A funeral service was scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2008, with interment in Prince George’s Cemetery, Dagsboro, Del. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriot’s Way, Milford, DE l9963; or to the Roxana Wesleyan Church, 35175 Roxana Rd., Frankford, DE 19945.
