David Lee “Dave” Harmon, 74, of Millsboro, Del., passed away Saturday, Nov. 15, 2008, in the Delaware Hospice Center, Milford, Del.
He was a retired printer and salesman. An avid Redskins fan, he also loved riding Harleys, working in his yard, playing softball and golf, and spending time with his family and friends. He was a member of the Ocean City, Md., Elks Lodge.
Harmon was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred C. Harmon and Gladys V. Johnson Harmon; a son, Michael W. Harmon; his brother, Alfred C. Harmon Jr.; and his mother-in-law, Ella Peetoom. He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Mary Peetoom Harmon; his brothers-in-law, Lee Peetoom and his wife, Sue, of King George, Va., and Larry Peetoom and his wife, Diane, of Encinitas, Calif.; his daughters, Sharon L. East and her husband, Bob, of Mechanicsville, Md., and May Ellen Howard and her husband, Bill, of Waldorf, Md.; his son, Tom D. Harmon and his partner, Donna Morgan, of Indian Head, Md.; their mother, Shirley A. Trigger of Colonial Beach, Va.; a nephew, Patrick Harmon and his wife, Michelle, of Mechanicsville, Md.; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Michelle Martin and her husband, John, and their daughter, Rachel, of Mechanicsville; Billy Howard and his partner, Pam Glynn, and their children, Nick, Melissa and Malakai of Heathsville, Va.; Crystal A. Carver and her husband, Stacy, and their sons, Cody and Dalton, of Asheboro, N.C., Nicole M. Hardesty and her husband, Derek, and their children, Brianna and Dylan, of Waldorf, Md., Sarah Sa and her husband, David, of Baltimore, Md., Brian Harmon of Indian Head, Md.; great-niece and nephew, Tiffany Harmon and Patrick Harmon; and his many friends and extended family members.
A memorial service was scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 22, 2008.
