Bertha W. “Bebe” Parker, 84, of Dagsboro, Del., passed away Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2008, at her daughter’s home. She was a retired secretary and served in the United States Coast Guard. She was a member of the Good Shepherd United Methodist Church in North Ft. Myers, Fla., and Daughters of the Nile Tab’itha Temple #135, also in Ft. Myers.
Parker was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert Jasper and Saline Manuel Wray; her husband, John Parker; a son, Clinton “Skip” Bearor Jr.; three brothers, Carl “Bill” Wray, Herman Wray and Herbert Wray; and two sisters, Florence “Peggy” Saunders and Ruby Canada. She is survived by her children, Diane E. Bennett of Dagsboro, Nancy B. Minieri of Annapolis, Md., and Gary H. Bearor of Grasonville, Md.; sisters, Mazel Wray, Sarah Luther and Margaret Cox; a brother, Richard Wray; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Eileen A. Ward.
A funeral service was scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 18, 2008. Burial was private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
