Melvin Miles Tindall, 95, of Millsboro, Del., passed away Friday, Feb. 27, 2009, in Atlantic Shores Nursing Home, Millsboro, Del. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He was co-owner of Eastern Shore Amusements Inc. and a long-time member of American Legion Post #19 of Laurel, Del., AmVets of Long Neck, Del., and the Lewes and Seaford Moose Lodges.
Tindall was preceded in death by his parents, John Miles Tindall and Essie (Hearn) Tindall; his wife, Jeanette (Truitt) Tindall; and five brothers. He is survived by his nieces, Charlotte Schneebeli and Margaret T. Hudson; two great-nephews, Jeffrey and Gregory Hudson; four great-great-nephews, Joshua, Andrew, Philip and Daniel Hudson; and a great-great-niece, Amanda Hudson.
A funeral service was scheduled for Tuesday, March 3, 2009. Burial with Military Honors was in Parsons Cemetery, 912 N. Division St., Salisbury, Md. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Bethany Methodist Church, 19845 Lowes Crossing Rd., Millsboro, DE 19966.
