Beulah Pitts, 95, of Frankford, Del., passed away Saturday, May 2, 2009, in Atlantic Shores Nursing & Rehab Center, Millsboro, Del. She was a self-employed housekeeper for many families in the area over the years and was a member of the Antioch A.M.E. Church in Frankford. She loved her family, loved to make cakes and homemade rolls, and loved fishing. A great person, she had a great smile and to know her was to love her.
Pitts was predeceased by her parents, James and Sarah Garrison; her husband, Thomas Pitts; a daughter, Lilly Mae Taylor; and four brothers, James, Arthur, Horace and Roger Garrison. She is survived by her daughter, Sarah S. Blake, of Frankford; her sister, Caroline Carr, of Salisbury, Md.; 20 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 9, 2009, at the Antioch AME Church, 194 Clayton Ave., Frankford, where friends may call at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Antioch Cemetery.
