Judith J. (Beck) Birmingham, 67, of Dagsboro, Del., passed away Monday, May 4, 2009, in Neighborhood Hospice Center, West Chester, Pa. She was a graduate of McKeesport High School and the Western Pennsylvania Hospital School of Nursing. She had been employed as a nurse by the St. Joseph Hospital in Towson, Md., for 28 years, retiring in 1997.
Birmingham was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and LaNea (Fraser) Beck. She is survived by her husband, Patrick H. Birmingham; three sons, William P. Birmingham, and his wife, Colleen, of Media, Pa., Michael S. Birmingham and his wife, Jennifer, of Oxford, Ala., and Brian T. Birmingham and his wife, Jessica, of Exton, Pa.; six grandchildren, Tiffany, Sean, Ryan, Marissa, Cassandra and Owen; and one brother, Lt. Col. Frank P. Beck (ret), and his wife, Margaret, of Manchester, Tenn.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Rt. 17, 35318 Church Road, Frankford, Del., on Saturday, May 9, 2009, at 10:30 a.m. Friends may call on Friday, May 8, 2009, at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Clarksville Chapel, Rt. 26 and 17, 34874 Atlantic Ave., Ocean View, Del., from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Entombment will be private in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Dagsboro.
