Kevin Terry Lynch, 52, of Selbyville, Del., passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2009, at his brother’s residence in Bridgeville, Del., with his family at his side. He retired after 30 years from the Waste Water Treatment Plant of Ocean City, Md., where he was employed as an assistant superintendent.
He was an avid golfer and enjoyed boating, crabbing and fishing; but his greatest love was spending time on the beach with family and friends, and skiing in the winter. He was involved with various sporting activities, coached soccer with the River Soccer Club and was involved in soccer and basketball through the Ocean City Recreation Department. He always supported his children in all their endeavors.
Lynch was preceded in death by his father, William Lynch. He is survived by his mother, Catherine L. (Daye) Lynch; his wife, Debbie (Skibbe) Lynch; three sons, Zackary Lynch of North Carolina, and Clarke and Dylan Lynch, both of Selbyville; two brothers, David Lynch of Lewes, Del., and Brian Lynch and his wife, Michelle, of Bridgeville; and a sister, Cate Lynch, of Brooklyn, N.Y.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, May 16, 2009, at 1 p.m. at St. Matthew’s By the Sea, 1000 Coastal Highway, Fenwick Island, Del. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963; or to the Kevin T. Lynch Scholarship Fund, c/o PNC Bank, 1107 Coastal Hwy., Fenwick Island, DE 19944.
