Helen Burgess Terrill, of Falls Church, Va., formerly of South Bethany, Del., passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 28, 2009. For 65 years she was the beloved wife of Col. Robert S. Terrill, USAF (Ret.). She was a graduate of Lock Haven University, a member of Sigma Kappa Sorority and a graduate student at the University of Pennsylvania. Having taught in both Virginia and Pennsylvania, she continued her interest in education by establishing the Helen B. Terrill Library Trust Fund at Lock Haven University. She served as a past president of the National Guard Bureau Wives Club. Terrill was active in the founding of the Town of South Bethany and a founder of the Delaware South Coastal Library. Her dedicated efforts made possible the incorporation of the York Beach area into South Bethany.

The memorial service will be held on July 30, 2009, at 3 p.m. at the Old Fort Myer Post Chapel, followed by ground burial at Arlington National Cemetery.
