Bertha Mae Clark Thompson, 79, of Millsboro, Del., passed away Saturday, Nov. 28, 2009, at home. She worked for many years for Mrs. Bertha Lasher of Millsboro. She was a member of the Dickerson Chapel A.M.E. Church in Millsboro, where she was a member of the senior choir. She enjoyed watching television and had a wonderful sense of humor. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends
Thompson is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Elsie Clark; her husband, George Thompson; and two sons, Ronnie and Sylvester Thompson. She is survived by a daughter Mildred Harmon and husband George of Lewes; two sons, George Jr. and Bruce Thompson both of Millsboro; one sister, Mildred Harmon of Millsboro; one brother, Laymond Clark of Chesilhurst, N.J.; seven grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; five nieces; and one nephew.
Services were scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 2, 1 p.m., at the Dickerson Chapel A.M.E. Church, DuPont Highway, south of Millsboro where friends may call at noon. Rev. Richard Worthy will officiate the service. Interment will be at Old Field Church Cemetery near Millsboro.
