James Oliver “Jim” Parker, 79
James Oliver “Jim” Parker, 79, of Georgetown, Del. passed away Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2010, at Beebe Medical Center in Lewes, Del. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, NASCAR, and country music.
Parker is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence & Elva West Parker; one brother, Joseph Parker; one sister, Bette Chaffinch; and Companion of 30 years, Bea Pizzaia. He is survived by his sisters, Doris Moore and husband Joe of Laurel, Del., Pat Harris and husband Mike of Seaford, Del., Janet Ware and husband Melvin of Georgetown, Del.; brothers, Donald Parker and wife Evie of Georgetown, Del., Ralph Parker of Laurel, Del., Dale Parker of Blades, Del., Richard Parker and wife Donna of Laurel, Del., and Jerry Parker and wife Peggy of Georgetown, Del.; two special girls he helped raise, Dawn Blades, of Annapolis Md., and Tammy Blades of Delmar, Md.; one sister in law, Norma Parker of Georgetown, Del.; a brother in law Pete Chaffinch of Seaford Del.; many nieces; nephews; cousins; and friends.
A Memorial Service is set for Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2010, at 1 p.m. at Watson Funeral Home 211 South Washington Street, Millsboro, Del. where friends may call one hour prior. Pastor James R. Brown will officiate. Burial will be in Millsboro Cemetery, Millsboro, Del. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Georgetown Cheer 546 S. Bedford St. Ext. Georgetown, DE 19947.
