Long & Foster introduces VoicePad technology


Mark S. Holloway, vice president and Eastern Shore regional manager for Long & Foster Real Estate Inc., recently announced a new sales and marketing technology that will provide customers with immediate access to property information.

The Eastern Shore region of Long & Foster Real Estate Inc., including Maryland and Delaware offices, is introducing VoicePad Mobile IDX Audio Search technology, which allows homebuyers immediate access to the entire local “homes for sale” inventory from any telephone. Homebuyers need only call the local number provided on Long & Foster “For Sale” signs or from real estate ads and simply enter the house street number to immediately hear details on any area home for sale, saving valuable time for home shoppers.

VoicePad Mobile IDX presents a new way of delivering property information and makes it extremely easy for potential buyers to learn about the features of a listed property without necessarily being in front of the house, Holloway said. The description of the property is delivered via telephone in an easy-to-understand sentence format in both English and Spanish 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The technology also notifies the Realtor with the listed property that there has been an inquiry and provides sellers with reports detailing the interest their home receives from potential buyers.

Homebuyers then have the option to connect directly with the agent and schedule an appointment to see the home. They may also call the Long & Foster 24/7 Info Line and receive the estimated mortgage payment or a text message with the home’s features sent directly to their cell phone or handheld device.
