Frankford man arrested on drug charges

Selbyville police this week arrested a 20-year-old Frankford man on drug charges after initially pursuing him because he was believed to have outstanding warrants. On Saturday, May 29, about 1 p.m., officers arrested Jamar A. Manuel, 20, of Frankford, who had been located at a business on N. Dupont Boulevard.

Police said Manuel attempted to flee from the officers and, in the process, attempted to discard a plastic baggy containing several small pills, later identified as Oxycodone.

Manuel was subsequently charged with Possession of a Narcotic Controlled Substance and Resisting Arrest. He was then released from Justice of the Peace Court No. 3 on a $2,000 secured bond, pending his appearance in the Court of Common Pleas.
