Ruth E. Braun, 86, of Frankford, Del., formerly of Baltimore, Md., passed away on Friday, Sept. 10, 2010, at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford, Del.
She was employed as a lab technician for Proctor & Gamble in Baltimore, Md., before retiring in 1982 after 27 years of service. She was also a member of Mariner’s Bethel United Methodist Church in Ocean View, Del.
In addition to her parents, Howard Leslie and Ruth Elizabeth (Sipes) Senseny, she was preceded in death by her two husbands, Charles Ellis and Raymond Braun. She is survived by four daughters, Carol Sullivan of Sykesville, Md., Linda Miller of Chambersburg, Pa., Dinah Shull of Frankford, Del., and Amy Hammond of Frankford, Del.; five grandchildren, Kevin, Timothy and Sean Sullivan, Gray Whitfield and Lisa Pogue; and nine great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 18, 2010, at the Ocean View Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, 38040 Muddy Neck Rd., Ocean View, Del., where friends and family may call after 10 a.m. Entombment will be held privately at Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens in Maryland.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Braun’s name to the Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963; or Mariner’s Bethel United Methodist Church, 81 Central Ave., Ocean View, DE 19970.
