Delaware State Police this week were seeking the suspect in the robbery of the PNC Bank branch located inside the Giant grocery store in Millville. Police said the suspect stole an undisclosed amount of money from the bank on Monday, Sept. 27, after demanding money and implying to the teller that he had a gun.
According to the DSP, the suspect entered the grocery store about 11:30 a.m. on Monday, walked up to the PNC counter and waited in line. Once it became the suspect’s turn, they said, he walked to the counter and displayed a demand note, demanded cash and also implied he had a gun.
Police said the clerk handed the suspect an undisclosed amount of money, after which the suspect exited the store. No one was injured during the robbery, they noted.
The DSP is looking for a white man, between 5 feet, 9 inches, and 5 feet, 10 inches tall, weighing about 170 to 180 pounds. He was wearing blue jeans and a red hooded jacket at the time of the robbery.
