Russell Edward Jackson, 72, of Laurel, Del., passed away on Oct. 31, 2010, at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in Seaford, Del. He had been a poultry grower for Allen’s Family Foods. He enjoyed shooting pool, NASCAR, carpentry and making things. His biggest hobbies and interest were his wife and children.
Jackson was preceded in death by his parents, Garland and Florence Jones Jackson. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Ann Jackson; five children, Darlene Burns of Baltimore, Md., Linda Whitelock of Mardela Springs, Md., Michael Russell Jackson of Seaford, Del., Barbara Ann Wooten of Dagsboro, Del., and June Shirley Jackson of Laurel Del.; One sister, Margaret Smith of Powellville, Md., nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and his beloved feline friend, Blue Girl; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
A funeral service was scheduled for Friday, Nov. 5, 2010, at 11 a.m. at Watson Funeral Home; 211 S. Washington St.; Millsboro, Del., where friends may call one hour prior.
