Anne Powell of ResortQuest Real Estate has earned the National Association of Realtors (NAR) Resort and Second-Home Property Specialist (RSPS) Certification. RSPS is a nationally-recognized certification awarded by NAR to real estate professionals who wish to demonstrate and promote – to consumers and their peers alike – their expertise in the specialty.
“The RSPS certification program is unlike any other professional certification or designation,” said Allan “Dutch” Dechert, 2008 chair of the NAR Resort & Second-Home Committee and an RSPS. “It takes specialized skills and knowledge to maximize the business opportunities in resort and second-home markets. You need to be able to communicate your proficiency in this aspect of real estate. RSPS certification lets everyone know you’re serious about lifestyle real estate.”
Powell is a top performer for ResortQuest Real Estate, representatives noted, garnering consistent sales and listing awards in 2010 with business partner Jennifer Hughes. The Anne/Jen Team sold more than $14 million in real estate in 2010 in the Delaware and Maryland resort areas.
Powell also holds the NAR Green Designation, as well as a bachelor’s degree in finance and a master’s of education degree in curriculum and instruction, both from the University of Delaware. Additionally, Powell has graduated from a Fortune 500 Management Program and earned a number of corporate and training certifications.
Powell said she believes that the RSPS Certification improves her understanding of the national and local markets and will help her to continue to provide success for her clients. Powell can be contacted at www.AnniePowell.com or by calling ResortQuest Real Estate at (302) 541-8897.
