BREAKING NEWS: Updated -- Delaware State Police locate missing Georgetown teen


UPDATE: Delaware State Police on Sunday, Jan. 16, received information on the whereabouts of Georgetown teen Wendy Juarez-Sanchez. Delaware State Police responded to a Seashore Highway, Georgetown, address and recovered Juarez-Sanchez. The girl is not facing any criminal charges.

Delaware State Police on Jan. 16 were searching for a 17-year-old Georgetown girl after she allegedly had a dispute with her parents. Wendy Juarez-Sanchez, 17, of Georgetown, police said, voluntarily left the residence and was allegedly traveling to Chicago. Juarez-Sanchez was last seen leaving in a white Ford Expedition registered to a W. Church Street, Selbyville, address. Selbyville police attempted, unsuccessfully, to locate the vehicle at the registered address.

Juarez-Sanchez was described as a white female Hispanic, 5 feet, 1 inch tall, weighing about 140 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

Delaware State Police are asking citizens to be on the lookout for Wendy Juarez-Sanchez and the white Ford Expedition displaying Delaware registration. When contacting police, refer to complaint# 04-11-2366.
