TOWN OF OCEAN VIEW - ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Sealed bids for the Town of Ocean View, Y2011 Street Rehabilitation Project, Project Number 2011-01 will be received by the Town Manager of Ocean View until 2:00 p.m., local time, on Thursday, March 17, 2011, at the Office of the Administrative Official, Wallace A. Melson Municipal Building, 201 Central Ave, 2nd Floor, Ocean View, Delaware 19970, at which time they will be opened, read, and recorded.
The work involves the furnishing of all labor, materials, transportation, tools, supplies and equipment necessary to make necessary roadway repairs on several roads in the Incorporated Town of Ocean View.
Interested Contractors may purchase a copy of the Contract Documents for $50.00 during normal working hours starting Monday, February 14, 2011, at the Office of the Administrative Official, Wallace A. Melson Municipal Building, 201 Central Ave, 2nd Floor, Ocean View, Delaware 19970.
In addition, a pre-bid meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 8, 2011, 10:00 a.m. local time, in the Town Hall Meeting Room located at 32 West Ave, Ocean View, Delaware. Attendance at this meeting is mandatory for all prospective bidders and will be a pre-requisite for submitting a bid.
Prevailing Wage Rates, as described by Delaware Law, must be adhered to where applicable.
Bids shall be submitted in a sealed envelope and shall be marked clearly as follows: Sealed Bid - Proposal for Y2011 Street Rehabilitation Project. Requirements for a 10% Bid Bond, 100% Performance Bond, 100% Payment Bond and Maintenance Bond, and Contractor's Insurance are included in the Contract Documents.
Each Bidder must deposit with his Bid, security in the amount, form and subject to the conditions provided in the Instruction for Bidders. The Town of Ocean View reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and make such award as appears most advantageous to the Town.
