ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

Sealed bids will be received by the Town of Bethany Beach for Weatherization, Energy Efficiency, and Renewable Energy System Projects at various locations within the town limits of Bethany Beach, DE.
This project is funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA). This project will include various weatherization and efficiency projects designed to reduce the amount of energy consumed or required at Town-owned buildings. The project will include installation of two photovoltaic systems, energy management system for the Town Hall, and installation of nine air source heat pump split systems and one heat pump water heater to the Town Hall.
Interested Contractors may obtain a copy of the Contract Documents during normal working hours starting Monday, February 7, 2011, at the Office of the Town Manager, Town Hall, 214 Garfield Parkway, Bethany Beach, Delaware 19930.
Pre-Bid Meeting: Prospective bidders are advised there will be a mandatory pre-bid meeting for this contract on Wednesday, February 16th at 10 a.m., in the Town Meeting Hall, 214 Garfield Parkway, Bethany Beach, Delaware.
The work involves the furnishing of all labor, materials, transportation, tools, supplies and equipment necessary to perform the necessary construction activities.
Sealed bids will be received by the Town Manager until 1:30 p.m., Wednesday February 23rd in the Town Manager’s Office located in Town Hall at 214 Garfield Parkway, Bethany Beach, DE. Bids will be opened on the same day at the Town Meeting Hall at approximately 1:31 p.m.
Bids shall be submitted in a sealed envelope and shall be marked clearly as follows: Sealed Bid – Bethany Beach Weatherization, Efficiency, and Renewable Energy Projects. Requirements for a 10% Bid Bond, 100% Performance Bond, 100% Payment Bond, and Contractor's Insurance are included in the Contract Documents.
Davis-Bacon wage rates and State wage rates shall apply on this project. The higher of the two shall prevail.
Bidders will have the opportunity to submit bids on all or portions of the proposed projects. The Town of Bethany Beach reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and to make such award as appears most advantageous to the Town.
