Selbyville policearrest three after fight in moving vehicle

Selbyville police this week arrested three Selbyville residents after responding to the report of a fight inside a vehicle traveling on Route 113. Police said the fight happened as the vehicle was being driven southbound, about 3:45 p.m.

According to the SPD, when officers stopped the vehicle, Timothy Sample, 22, was asleep but found to be in possession of suspected illegal narcotics. Officers searched the vehicle and seized 43 doses of suspected ephedrine and about 15 grams of suspected cocaine.

Sample was charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver a Narcotic, Maintaining a Vehicle for the Keeping of a Controlled Substance, Possession of a Narcotic within 1,000 feet of a School, Consumption of a Narcotic and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was committed to Sussex Correctional Institute for lack of $11,000 secure bond.

Also arrested was Tiffany Griffith, 23, who was charged with Possession of a Non-Controlled Prescription Drug and released on $1,500 unsecure bond, and Justeen Whittaker, 22, who was driving the vehicle and was charged with Driving Without a Valid License and released.
