Delaware State Police troopers are investigating the armed robbery of Holts Liquors located on Route 26 on Friday evening.
Police said that, about 6:15 p.m. on Dec. 23, a black man entered Holts Liquors located on Atlantic Avenue and confronted the 26-year-old female employee who was behind the sales counter. They said the suspect displayed a handgun, pointed it at the female victim and demanded money. The victim, police said, turned over an undisclosed amount of cash to the suspect, who fled on foot in an unknown direction.
The suspect was described as a black man of unknown age, 5 feet, 6 inches to 5 feet, 8 inches tall, weighing between 160 and 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing a dark-colored jacket and jeans, a ski mask covering his face, and armed with an unknown type of handgun. The description of the suspect in this robbery roughly matches that of the suspect in the armed robbery of Fox's Pizza Den in Millville on Dec. 19, but police did not comment on whether the cases might be connected.
