The administration, staff and students of Indian River High School are inviting the public to join them as they celebrate Prom 2014 on Saturday, May 10, at the Bethany Beach Boardwalk.
For the first time ever, the hundreds of Indian River students attending the prom will hold their Grand March near the ocean they call home. Those wishing to observe the Grand March are welcome to bring a lawn chair to the Boardwalk for the event.
Festivities will begin at 3:30 p.m., with D.J. Brian Baull of CAT Country. The students will line up at 4 p.m., and the Grand March will begin promptly at 4:30 p.m.
After the Grand March across the red-carpeted bandstand, while students are whisked away to their prom location, community members are being invited to stay in downtown Bethany and enjoy the shops and restaurants that support the school community. Parking is free.
In the event of inclement weather, students will be informed via the school district’s AlertNow system that the Grand March will be held at the same time in the high school gymnasium on Armory Road in Dagsboro.
