Ternahan, Gulls to take on Tufts for NCAA lax championship

The Salisbury University men’s lacrosse team will go for their 11th DIII National Championship title against Tufts University this Memorial Day weekend, after taking down Gettysburg 14-6 on Sunday, May 22.
The Gulls went into the game as the No. 3 seed, with the Bullets as the No. 5 seed, but the game was never as close as it appeared on paper, as SU jumped out to a 3-1 first-quarter lead and never looked back.
Coming off back-to-back one-goal/one-assist performances, Bethany Beach native and Stephen Decatur High School grad Andrew Ternahan didn’t find the net in Sunday’s semi-final; however, the junior LSM did lead the team with eight ground balls in the matchup.
The final is scheduled for Sunday, May 29, at 1 p.m. at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia. The last time the Sea Gulls won the title was in 2012.
