Justin’s Beach House thankful for support

Editor:

On Saturday, May 28, Justin’s Beach House held its annual run/walk. The sun was shining as over 1,000 participated, raising funds to operate Justin’s Beach House.

Justin’s Beach House could not have been built and maintained without the ongoing support of Contractors for a Cause, who continue to work so hard to make Justin’s vision a reality. Thank you!

We also thank the Town of Bethany Beach, the Bethany fire company and Bethany police, the Bethany Beach community, our wonderful sponsors and volunteers; we could not have done this without you!

Through the end of this summer, 142 families will have stayed with us. Our families are from the Mid-Atlantic, as far north as New York, as far south as North Carolina and as far west as Illinois. Over the years, the ages of our guests have ranged from 1 to 87.

Justin’s Beach House offers our families an opportunity to take a much-needed break from the day-to-day realities of their cancer, and gives them the time needed to reconnect with their families and to renew their soul.

Thank you from all of us.

Craig & Mary Ellen Nantais, and the 2016 Justin’s Beach House Board of Directors (Kathy Green, Linda Schools-Ayres, Ernie Felici, Jeff Baxter, Kathleen Jennings and Michele Wagner)

Reader believes Trump is the right man

Editor:

I had to laugh at Perry Mitchell’s guest column on May 13 (“The Donald has a surprise coming if he wins”), as his thinking is exactly that of the establishment hacks who have for so long ignored the will of the people they are supposed to represent in favor of the financial interests that currently control both parties.

You could almost smell his fear as he tries to explain why Trump can’t do any of the things that the American people will elect him to do. His sorry attempts to bow to the power of the U.N. and the WTO are hollow at best, and he should recall that we founded, and fund, both of those organizations and they need us much more than we need them! The U.N. has been snubbing us, the nation that funds it, for far too long, in favor of tin-pot dictators and third-world pretenders. No more!

As far as his extensive research (a Google search) into how much deporting illegal criminals and building a wall would cost, I say we need only look at Eisenhower’s “Operation Wetback” to gauge the real cost. Once the illegal criminals see that we are serious about denying them jobs and benefits, they will self-deport, just like they did then, much to the chagrin of Mr. Mitchell and those who would like to turn us into a third-world country.

Smug political hacks like Mr. Mitchell who attempt to tell us why the government can’t actually do the will of the people they represent and instead must do the will of globalists used to be tarred and feathered in a better day, but now they are allowed to continue to work against the will of the people with near impunity. Hopefully, President Trump will put a stop to their nefarious doings before the country we know and love is all but a memory.
